Welcome! This website is my virtual Curriculum Vitae. I will update it regularly with recent journal articles and published posters/talks.

ABOUT ME

I am a doctoral candidate in the Psychological Science stream at the University of British Columbia. I work under the supervision of Dr. Marvin Krank at the Cognition and Substance Use Laboratory (CASUL) on the beautiful Okanagan campus of UBC.

My primary research focuses around young adult substance use. Specifically, I explore whether young adults are able to accurately predict how they will feel when drinking alcohol. I also examine whether young adults’ alcohol use memories are accurate. However, I have also the questions below…

  • What is the history of the field of affective forecasting and why is it so multidisciplinary?
  • How do we train writing tutors to work with students who use English as an Additional Language more effectively?
  • How do we predict what makes adolescents more likely to be willing to use nicotine products?
  • …and much more!

What’s next? In the summer of 2023, I will defend my dissertation and graduate from UBC.
